Xperia arc s, unable to install or start phone software update components

I want to update my Xperia arc S to android 4.0 but Pc companion says unable to install or start phone software update components! would you please help me.

The update it's now available now, you have to wait till Late March/April

sorry for my misunderstood, i want to update my firmware to 4.0.2.A.0.62, but Pc companion says unable to install or start phone software update components!

yeah, the updates is slowing (quite slow) rolling out globally, so you either

1) wait for it to be available through PCC or SEUS

or

2) manually update your phone

I was facing with the same issue. The issue is now resolved by update service.

you are having xperia arc s, which version of android u are using currently now.. did u updated to 4.0.2 with ease.
