I don't know first hand what "Xperia Actions" is but from what I've read it seems very similar to what you can actually acomplish with Do Not Disturb advance settings + Smart Connect....
Maybe I am missing something, but I used to install many Automation apps on my older devices, however now with the XZ I only keep Smart Connect... because most of the automatic actions I need, are already performed by Google / or Sony's Smart Connect....
For instance:
I have "Do not disturb" (DND) automtically to turn on every night after 11pm except on Saturdays
I have set DND to turn on on Saturdays at the time I have a course
I have DND set to turn when I am attending to a private calendar event
I have Smart Connect to set my media Volume to a specific value, Read the time out loud, Launch the Music app and Play songs when I connect to my Car's bluetooth Stereo.
Google's Smart Lock, automatically unlock my device with I connect to said stereo, and also to a couple of NFC tags.
I never turn WiFi, BT, NFC off.
Bottomline, all in all I have lost interest in additional Automation apps and look forward to better cohesion of current offerings...
my biggest gripe with Smart Connect is that you can't backup and restore your actions. Should be doable with Google Drive integration...
