Z2, Lollipop update, awful, problems.

I just updated to Lollipop 5.0 (finally), and now.. the phone is just awful and gives me a headache. It's laggy, it gets stuck, it's slow. I can't find my messages, and I can't even access messages. Can't send or receive, can suddenly get stuck and then get lost in the background (the background only shoves with the colours that change), and it turns off by itself, starts by itself, get message notifications randomly, gets so warm you could probably boil an egg on it.

To sum it up; it's catastrophic. I don't really know what to do, it's just sooooo annoying. Anyone, please help?

After upgrading my Z2 to the latest software it is really slow. Can anyone tell me why and how I can get it to run faster again?

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Phone volume reduced significantly after update to lollipop in Z2, can Sony mobile support can help on this?

After I updated my Z2 to lollipop it overheats everytime I use the phone. This never happened with kitkat. Why is this? Please help me solve it. It is very uncomfortable and I'm afraid it will damage the phone. Also the battery seems to be less powerful since I updated.

@MikeTR9 Please stop creating other threads and look through this topic. Usually, after a large system update, it will take some time to stabilize and work as intended.

The icon to search for apps disappears after some time. I have 23.1.A.0.690. Is this problem fixed in 23.1.A.0.726? I haven't received that update yet.

I have no idea what this app is you speak of but the search function is there is you swipe from the left edge to the right then the uninstall and search options and others will appear

after updating my xperia z2 to 5.0.2 today i was greatly dissapointed seeing the size of the icons....It really looks awful..they are too big...please consider resizing them to the size of the previous icons like in 4.4.2....or atleast add a option to resize them...plzzz
