Z2, Lollipop update, awful, problems.

I just updated to Lollipop 5.0 (finally), and now.. the phone is just awful and gives me a headache. It's laggy, it gets stuck, it's slow. I can't find my messages, and I can't even access messages. Can't send or receive, can suddenly get stuck and then get lost in the background (the background only shoves with the colours that change), and it turns off by itself, starts by itself, get message notifications randomly, gets so warm you could probably boil an egg on it.

To sum it up; it's catastrophic. I don't really know what to do, it's just sooooo annoying. Anyone, please help?

Hello again,

The phone works perfectly today, 1 day after the update. Very strange how it suddenly is back to normal again, after being unable to even work properly yesterday. Thank you Android-god, wherever you are.

So, the common problem is missed files for X-reality (image enchancement) as found by XDA-guys, we need to escalate this problem to dev.team.

As for now u can use this solution

Smart lock dosent work i ve set home AS trusted place enabled Smart unlock under trusted agents.. Still asking for pin at home x reality dosent work also

Bugs in lollipop 5.02     23.1.A.0.690 Xperia Z2

1. messaging app is very laggy..spercially scroll in chats

2. in messaging app when 2 message comes from same contact, just shows bold in messaging and number of messages isnt count

3. x-reality and supervivid dont work

4. in choose bluetooth config dialoge, both of menu and texts are white

5. close all in recent app is missing

6.small apps dialog have still kitkat design

Suggestions:

First: I Dont Know why sony's develeopers dont set any Enable/Disable for some features of apps..samsung is the best in software develope

for example

enable/disable top contacts in phone app

2. Change smart call handeling to 3 motions seprately ( 3 single motion for each one)

3. rotate option for album/movies app (Rotate pictures/movies if auto-rotate is disable in settings)

some missing functions

1. call recording .. (Its so strange)

2. custom font chooser

3. lock touch screen while calling and speking .. double tap to unlock and use phone while calling

4. Choose led color for messaaging/phone/events/....

5.vibrate method for each app such as messaging (Short ,long , if in silent .....)

6. Speed dial    (This is very very strange)

add this in next firmware or android 5.1 to Z2 Plz.. you must improve your softwares.. and these are the best suggestions

sorry it's your post but i have a suggesion for support team.they should add a ability to reset factory our phone without going to settings.look at this link.

why should i download more than 1GB for this problem to repair my phone??because i just restarted my phone to fix the problem?(install pc companion can't clear in notification bar)
