Xperia Z1 Memory Card

I bought a Xperia Z1 and it is expandable upto 64Gb. So i bought this Scan Disk Memory card but it is not showing in the phone. Does Xperia Z1 support exfat32 format?

Maybe your card is formatted in NTFS mode... Connect it to Pc using any card reader and then format it in FAT32 or exfat mode... Then reinsert in mobile.. Otherwise may be your card maybe damaged one..

@MMK777 - In your case it sounds like a possible issue with the SD Card reader and as such I would advise you to contact your local Xperia Care team so that it may be assessed by an authorised repair agent.

Hi Guys,

Had the same issue. Works fine on the PC and other devices. Plug it in to my new xperia Z1 and nothing.

Then I did the old helpdesk support technique and while SD card plugged in I shut down and restarted the Z1 and it was visible after that.

Today I tried inserting SD card from my friends mobile.

The SD Card was not detected by my xperia Z1.

The card is working in all other mobiles.

It has just been 2 weeks since I got this phone.

Please provide me a suggestion regarding this.

It was SanDisk Memory card 8 gb memory.

I didn't need a memory card before, this was the first time I tried a  memory card into the mobile.

Let me know how to resolve this.

Try to low level format the SD card before using it.

Low level format is a format for the card, but a lot more powerful. It will erase anything on it,with no way of recovering.Take a look here.
