XPeria SP video sound problem

Hello:

I bought the phone 1 month ago and now I have a big problem. Any video I record that has bass sounds (like a rock concert) sounds really really bad. Cant hear anything!!! Theres a lot of noise!!!

Can you help me please?

Based on what you have stated above it sounds like you are attempting to record video in an environment where the sound is well above normal levels (a concert). The microphone is quite small and sensative as it is designed for capturing voice, when exposed to a volume well above those levels you will get distortion.

Yes i do ecperienced the same while recording videos of my college concert... it seems the device is incapable to record higher sounds... will it be rectified by the next 4.3 update ??

windy conditions also tampers the video sound quality..

usually i cover the mic a bit with my fingers to prevent wind from ruining my audio

i get the same problem too. When the phone is recording a "bass soud" it will ended up with a sound simillar to someone blowing directly onto the mic.

Please check the above answer by myself. I understand this can be frustrating, however it is operating as normal,, the microphone is designed for phone use and as such will record spoken words fine however is not designed for volumes well above that of the spoken word.

I have the same problem I don't think that, it is oprating as normal...I'm explained:

Well, when I record a video, o record a voice message...some record with voice, the audio is very very very bad, the audio distorts.

Repeat, not only with video record, also with voice message.

Yes, the microphone is designed for phone use, but...this sound quality is not bad, is really horrible.

No, I don't think that, this is operating as normal....not....

I send this mail to technical support of Sony, and listening to the video, I carry the phone indicated that a technical service

With my old xperia neo v, this is a video example

Simply excellent, impeccable quality. And this video was record in a disco, where the sound should be worse compared to being on the street

ya it looks like they have used substandard microphone of cheap quality which can't handle noisy sound. Even a chinese smartphone (gionee elife e3) which my wife has records far better sound then xperia sp. The company guys in the showroom doesnot even acknowledge that there is some problem. Company is taking huge money for their mobiles but then people should not buy xperia sony mobiles as it appears that almost every one of them has same problems. They can't record noisy sound. What happpens you go to a party and record video? simply ignore buying this phone until company comes out in public and recalls all the faulty models and replaces the microphone.
