X-Reality Usage Questions

X-Reality is really a great screen feature since Bravia Engine 1 and 2

But I want to hear Z5 users opinion (Other Z-series included) about this feature especially in Photography

because as a fellow Z5-series user(Z5 compact)

sometimes X-reality is fooling us on taking a picture(This is a scenario where you didn't check the actual pic using a PC)

for example is, some close up(Macro) images;

There are times When I take a pic, check the photo itself after, ofcourse I would be in a face of amazement because

you can't believe the outcome of the pic is really good but as you turn off the X-reality mode, you find yourself kind of disappointed when you re-check the same Photo that you had taken , your reaction was like (aw, I though I took it good but the highlights are too low, maybe I should've set the ISO higher, exposure a bit lower and something else)

But ofcourse there are often times that after taking a pic , With X-Reality mode on or off

the Photo that you'd took still come out impressive and satisfying.

So again, I would like to hear some people's opinion about this?

I have this same kind of scenario at my iPhone 5 too due to its Retina Display. Slightly_smiling_Face

I had a similar question ever since the Xperia S and the first Bravia Engine, the only way around it is to take a screenshot of the picture and also to take pictures with both X-Reality or Super Vivid Mode off, it'll be nice if we could save both pictures, one as it is and the second with the X-Reality/Super Vivid Mode results

Yeah it would be great if we have that option, especially in lowlight photography, some photos I took, I though I gey the shot of taking the pic with less contrast and exposure.

Can you kindly locate to me that Link sir? Thanks on advance

Hi to all,
Lets make things simpler...
X reality is a display technology which enhances the picture quality by optimizing different parameter of the display so that the image or the video you are viewing on the display looks very close to reality.
However it has nothing to do with the pics you clicked or recorded a video.

If the display of the PC or TV is not capable to enhancing the image in realtime than you will not get the same result as you get on the display which has X reality engine working.

Hope you got the solution.
Keep your views posted.
