Windows 7 on XL100- will Avermedia A16C work?

Hi there,

I've pre-ordered Windows 7 (roll-on Oct 22nd!) & was wondering if the standard TV tuner card supplied with my XL100 (Avermedia A16C) will still work ok under Windows 7? I think I remember some people reporting that they couldn't find a driver for it under Vista.... anyone got it working ok under Windows 7? If so, is there any improvement to the TV picture quality?

There are Vista drivers for both the AverMedia MPEG Encoder and for the TV Tuner here: -

Everything that works in Vista is supposed to be Win7 compatible but I guess you will not really know until you try it ...........

It works beautifully for me... Just install the Vista drivers.

The Sony own utilities never really worked on Vista, but you don't miss much in my opinion
