Hi - been reviewing the posts on this forum to see if anyone has had this problem and looks like I am the first. When starting up the password I enter is not accepted straight away. I have to type it in maybe 20 times then eventually it accepts and allows access to laptop. I have no idea what this is about but worry that if I shutdown laptop I might not ever get access again! When I try to reset the password it won't let me, says password is not correct. Anyone able to help me on this?
Hi kingston 1,
welcome to club VAIO..
What operating system are you using on your Vaio.?
If it's Vista have you tried creating and using the password reset disc.
To create the disc..
Click Start, then click control panel.
In control Panel click on User Accounts and Family Safety
Then click on Change your windows password.
In the left hand column click on create a password reset disc
Hi Thalamus.
Tried to do that. It asks for my password and when I type it in it says 'the password you entered is incorrect for this account.' Thats why I am falling at the first fence here. It IS the correct password - it did let me in twice in the last few weeks after multiple tries but I am at a loss as to how to fix it properly. It is really weird.
Sorry did not say earlier post, it is Vista home premium.
