Hi,
I do have a Vaio VGN SZ5XN/C.
It comes with DDR2 SDRAM (2 x 1024 MB) of RAM.
I Know Sony says you cannot add more memory to this laptop.
But I'm wondering if it would be possible to remove the (2 x 1024MB) from their slots and put in, say, (2 x 2048MB) DDR2 SDRAM?
Or is there any other upgrade option to put more memory in this laptop (a new motherboard??)?
JM
Hi JM,
welcome to Club VAIO..
Unfortunately according to the SZ5XNC specifications your Vaio already has the maximum 2GB RAM installed and Crucial.com also state that a RAM upgrad is NOT possible..
You could try an fit another mother board but I think this will make it an expensive RAM upgrade..
