New Vaio AW31ZJ/B

Hi there everybody
Need quick response.Just bought new vaio AW31ZJ/B from guy placed in London who claim to have company.Fast delivery, but when i opened box there are no cd with soft or even operating system...??? How is it possible?? What can i do with it??Can i get OS from Sony??Secon thing i thought that model has fingerprint reader, my doesen't....chinesse version or what??

Hi mleczus1 and welcome.

All Vaios come with the Operating System already loaded on the Hard Drive - all you have to do is add the battery and attach the mains power and turn it on. Configuration of Vista should then run.

The Recovery Software is held on a hidden partition on your hard disc and can be run from inside and outside Windows. You can make as many sets of recovery DVDs as you like by going to Vaio Recovery Centre. This will take a while to copy the Recovery Partition to 3 DVDs - possibly an hour or so! Do you have the Recovery & Troubleshooting Guide in the box?

I have had a very quick look at the specifications of the AW Series and it looks like the 21Z, the 21XY and the 31XY have a fingerprint sensor but not the 31ZJ - but I need to check this.
