Hi Just got my Vaio last night and have been playing around with it loads!
the model i have is the VGN-P11Z/Q and ii have to say i love it!
the fucntion are great and using it made me losse a night of sleep
the only minor thing is that it comses pretty packed with software , which i dont really need. i can uninstall the unwanted software myself great but i have 2 question@
1) Is there a way to now save this pc set up to the recovery partition or maybe edit the partition so when it restores i can remove items i dont need?
2) have you guys tried windows 7 on this lappy yet? i been reading its ok but the general feeling is so-so? (becuase of missing drivers/software/ but faster boot?)
Hi Callmegary and welcome to the forum.
I am pleased that you are as happy with your new Vaio as are the majority of us.
In answer to your questions..
1)The recovery partition will always restore to factory defaults no matter what you do to the machine. The same applies to the recovery disks that you create. You could always create an image of the drive using a utility such as Acronis True Image.
2)No I haven't tried Windows 7 as yet and certainly wouldn't consider this until such time as it is an official release and Sony have provided all certified drivers.
