Laptop Floppy Drive not working

Hi there,

I recently recovered my PCG-FR295mp fully and have since realised that the built in floppy drive seems to be not working. It does not even show up in MyComputer as an icon and it doesn't react to any disks. I am quite sure that it is because somehow the drivers have dissapeared. I have looked everywhere for drivers for this model but am unable to find anything for this drive.

Any help would be great! Oh and so you know I have to go via another PC and work for internet access so the Laptop is not hooked up directly which makes things a bit trickier.

The floppy drive should show in My Computer without drivers.

Have you gone to Control Panel > System > Device Manager? Are there any yellow exclaimations?
