Connecting a PS3 to my Vaio

Hey, thanks for clicking my topic

Well, basically I'm having trouble finding out whether or not my Vaio can have a PS3 connected to it, so I can play on my laptop at Uni without having to buy a TV and paying the license fee.

I have asked other people, and I got a multitude of answers; none of which were the same. So, I decided to go to the place where people specialize in Vaios. I even tried just putting in the HDMI cable, but I didn't expect that to work so easily.

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FW11E, and any tips or words of advice would be greatly appreciated

Also, to any passing moderators, if I am posting this topic in the wrong area, feel free to move it to the relevant area

The simple answer is no, sadly it can't do that, even if you did get a capture card, you would loose frames and gaming would feel delayed. You could probably sort that out with Guitar Hero, but with other games you couldn't.

Good luck with uni

Thanks for the swift reply  I figured as much...ah well. Delay wouldn't be good with a hectic game such as Killzone 2

Now onto the second plan; see how bored I get in the first term, and see whether or not it is worth getting a TV just to play on my PS3
