Battery drain when laptop switched off

Any ideas what could be causing my VAIO battery to drain whilst the laptop is switched off? Something is causing a fairly large drain, I lose about 20% overnight and the whole thing is dead in a week. It isn't the battery, when I remove it from the laptop it doesn't drain. Laptop out of warranty (just) - any ideas???
Could it be the wifi?

Same problem with Z21WN Drains my power to 0% after a few days when laptop turned off, (not in hibrinate)

Talked just talked to support and they say its normal for vaio to drain 10% every day and I said WTF you kidding me, no she said. 10% you loose every day even if ya not using it.

I hade lots of different laptops since 2000 and never ever seen such bad battery leaks that Sony got.

Over and out, never going to buy another Sony Latptop for sure!!!

I had several live conversations with Sony before buying an FW31E, replacing my battery challenged FZ21Z.
They assured me that the drainage on the FW31E would be the same as any other manfre's laptop. B****cs, it's awful (compared to colleague's Dell's and Toshiba's). These are not 'laptops', just PC's that can operate for a few hours without a power supply.
I likened it to buying a car only to find that if you left it parked for the week at aiport Long Term, you got back to find all the fuel had evaporated!

BUMP any news on this problem....?

After the summer vacation I will send in my laptop to sony for repair regarding this problem.

I know they will just return it and telling me , it works as it should. Them I have to make a long boring fight over what is normal battery drain and not.

This will probalby be going around until 2011 when my free days are over and then they will bill me and lol at another Customer buying this pice of <profanity removed by moderator>.

Sad to see how Sony turn a nice laptop into useless crap over a battery drain.

Now Iam forced to dissamble the battery every time I use it, thats a great solution....NOT
and when Iam on buisniess trip other people lol at the problem I got and everytime people ask me If i Seen this on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AyVh1_vWYQ

All I can say is... I soo feedup with Sony and support and there VAIO series.
