Using Globetrotter Connect on Z21WN/B - software can't find the modem device

Got a new Z21WN/B, and WWAN is switched on and the WWAN module Globe Trotter Module HSxPA is reported as working properly, and ... I have installed GlobeTrotter Connect, but when I run it, I get "Device not found". It's like, GlobeTrotter can't find it's own modem.

I have not uninstalled any of the T-Mobile software. Some earlier forum postings seemed to suggest that this might be necessary. But I can't find that so not sure if that is still relevant.

Anybody else had this problem? or any suggestions?

I hade the same problem, from one day to another it stop working, without any installation or anything from my side. Soo only windows update could install some stuff, or antivirus program with an update...


Soo I downloaded and reinstalled Globetrotter and tried all kind of solutions and Sony helpdesk did all they could,, nothing helped but a fully restore of C:

Soo my guess is Sony VAIO uses old version 2.2 of Globeltrott and the new version 3.x have the fix for this problem regarding to changelog. but Sony dosent give that version to us.

* you can buy the new version of globetrotter
* wait until you die for Sony to let us use Version 3.
* Restore C: to factory default and loose all on your harddrive. But if you do this you know it's going to happend again, just a matter of time.
