i wonder if any1 else has come across this problem i'm having i bought an external harddrive to record on and use on my pc when i plugged in hdd to tv that works great but when i plugged into pc nothing happen any1 any ideas ???

Hi,

yes, you have fallen foul to the same thing many others have on here and if you care to check you'll see what i mean, your tv has formatted the drive for use on the tv only, you cannot use it on the pc as well,

the only way now is to de register it from your tv and re format your drive on your pc using the disc management tool.

I too have faced the same problem,but after that again I have to format my drive in the PC using the disc management tool and it was working fine again and after that I never connected to the TV. I also don't kno what exactly it happened after connecting to the TV
