I have a KDL55HX823 and it is wirelessly connected to the home network.
The TV recognises the PC.
But when I test the connection I receive "failed"
The IP addresses are correct.
The port is opened.
Is the UDN number a problem? or what else could it be.
I have a similar problem. I have 2 PCs, one running XP and one Windows 7. I can see the WIN7-PC, not the
XP-PC. But I cannot see the files on the WIN7-PC. I have shared several folders on both PCs.
I do not think that the TV is not able to do what you are trying to do. The TV is able to access a DNLA server streaming media but not a shared folder in the network. The fact that the TV can see the computer shows that the network is working. Try installing this media server
http://www.serviio.org/ It seems that it solves loads if these problems. Hope this help.
We seem to have the same problem.
I have installed Serviio and it appears to have made full communication with the PC possible.
I have just been viewing files on my Sony TV.
Thanks, it certainly appears to be working.
You are welcome, I am glad that you solved your problem.
Although it is working there appear to be some anomolies.
Should I use the Windows/PC or the Serviio icon
The dates of photos are wildly incorrect.
Should I enter sub-folders rather than Folders in the Local path.
I solved my problem with Windows Media Player as described here :
http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=35037&forum=70
It works on both my XP-PC and my WIN7-PC.
I found this site but I don't have "Media sharing" when I click on Library.
What version of Windows and Media Player are you running ?
