New xperia s update dated 6/27/12, 10am PHL time

When I connected my xperia S to my laptop, a prompt saying that there's an available update for my unit. May what is this update all about and what are the modifications it will give my unit should I try to accept the update? At least I have already an idea on what to expect once I engage my xperia s to an update. Any answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

I'm experiencing the same thing with my update. Ika-third day ko na kaya, haist!!! I don't know what else to do.Talagang iniexcite talaga ako nitong ICS na 'to.....LOL. I don't think it has something to do with my internet connection because I've been downloading files too and it continuously is. Perhaps putting it on halt would probably help. Maybe I'll try cancelling all my downloads.

I dont even have any downloads...yet still experiencing it. Probably I will try to use other PC. hayz! Kawawa tayong dawala...baka ilalabas nalang Jelly Bean wala parin tayo ICS.

Yeah, I just wanna know too. Ganito ba talaga katagal. Baka kasi mamya eh wala na palang progress at naghang na eh hindi ko pa alam....LOL. Before kasi with my xperia x10 eh it took a while pa rin before the update was completed but not like this one right now...hah! Sony, try to look into this.

BTW, Rajz, what's SUS? I haven't tried any other alternatives yet kasi nga hopeful pa rin ako na maybe the problem is with the internet connection and  not with the update.

Sony Xperia user succeefully updated to ICS using it. But to me of course NOTHING happen.

Hahaha... I doubt Jelly Bean is gonna be out so soon for our phones.  I think we'd be lucky if we get to it this year. There's another way to do it though as suggested by KarloGaderel.  I can probably decrypt the file from SUS to an FTF file, then you guys can use the Flashtool instead.  I'll upload the FTF for you guys to download it.  But, that's if you're confident enough to do it.  Steps are quite easy though.  Process should take less than 5 minutes.  You up for it?
