Kill Applications to Free RAM

Hi there, im an ex user of iPhone and Samsung. I need your help as i just got my Xperia Sola yesterday. I try to search for a function whereby i will be able to kill all the process of the running applications to free up memory but to no result. Do i need to kill the running applications myself or it will auto close when i press home button?

I try to check my phone's RAM free memory and its running at an average of 65MB and sometimes up to 100MB. Is this normal? I found out when i open too many app, my phone will slow down. Please advise. Thanks.

once you get ICS you will be able to disable the apps, also do NOT use any taskiller or anativirus as this will create other issues with your phone

UPDATE: I manage to find the function where you will be able to kill running apps. However, i notice there are a lot of running systems file in it. Can i kill all of it? Can you provide us a list of the default programmes that SHOULD NOT be kill?

It is not so much of what you can not kill, any required system applications will just launch themselves again anyway. However I would only advise stopping applications that you have started as killing applications that auto launch again will consume a considerable amount of battery.
