GB update for Xperia Active

Hi

Some questions about ICS, which came up when I was thinking of updating from GB to ICS ...

If I choose not to install ICS to Xperia active, Will the current Gingerbread version be updated? Or is it better to choose ICS if you want to be sure to have an updated OS?

I have heard that problems with the LED notifications are using ICS, a feature I use very often when I'm out sailing and have the phone in a waterproof case. Will this be fixed in future updates?

At sea, I am dependent on the battery life on my phone, the battery life worse by running ICS?

I am very excited to get ICS Slightly_smiling_Face

Has Anyone tested ICS on Active?

if ICS it's available for your phone and you click update you will get ICS, if ICS it's not available you will stay on GB

and you SHOULD make a backup of your current firmware (GB)

You can always upgrade to 4.0, and if you're unsatisfied, you can easily downgrade back to the official unmodified 2.3 for your region with Flashtool from WotanServer. You get 4 firmware flashes for 2 euros now. It's mostlikely cheaper than when you let the Sony service center do it and you won't have to miss your phone.
