Damaged video,photos after switching data storage(videos,photos)and/or transferring to SDcard viaPC

Sorry for the long subject,but I couldn't really explain it shortly.My problem is that my phone corrupts photos and videos after taking them via the camera,I recorded a 30min video of me and my friends playing soccer/football and when I wanted to play it back,the video had green lines in it or didn't even play,claiming that the video had an invalid URL...same is with files downloaded from my pc,they work on my laptop but when I transfer them via MediaGo they either can't be played,are corrupted or unreadable.The SD card itself isn't corrupted because I plugged it in via an adapter and all the files I transferred(manually,not through MediaGo)were fine and the phone read them ok,but I don't want to have to turn off the phone and eject the SD card every time I want to transfer a file 😕 .My card is a class 4 Kingston 8GB SDHC.I didn't have these problems with my X8,why does having a better phone mean more problems ,please help me on this because I've already tried formatting the card 3 times with no luck,I also factory resetted it,same result.Oh and some of the videos I have on it play,but they stop at random(different every time)times saying invalid URL or the video can't be played.

I bought a new SD card (Sandisk Ultra 16Gb) and all problems are gone.

And also gotta refund off my other card.

Actually I too had this problem and lost a lot of photos and videos. On the corrupted videos, you can try copying the files (if you haven't yet deleted them) to a PC and play with VLC player. I could get them playing with some "macroblocks" here and there. On the photos, sadly the damage done is done. HTH.

I'm taking photos and making videos fine. When I go to view them or play them back about an hour later they are blank or it says invalid URL in the case of the videos. Please help as I have lost some pretty important photos and videos.

Do you have antivirus,task killers?

Yeah AVAST! was most probably the cause on my phone,but I'm not sure.Alex the issue has returned but I have made an observation,when transferring files from my pc through USB the files work fine and the next day or hour get corrupted,while when I take out my card put it into my pc via an adapter the phone reads them just fine and corruption doesn't occur,can this mean that the phone is compatible with the card,but some process or app is causing the problem?Or maybe it's a flaw with the usb connection software?

I think it is either compatibility problem,an app acting up(maybe antivirus) or even usb(are you using 2.0 or 3.0)?

I'm using USB 3.0 but that didn't present a problem with my X8,and the cable looks exactly the same ,I uninstalled my antivirus and LLF'd my card just in case something got left behind by it,but files are still getting corrupted,maybe it's one of the system processes or apps that's faulty,one that doesn't boot in safe mode?

In safe mode everything works fine?Yeah,it could be.Until now,have you tried a software repair?

Yes I did,I can try it again tomorrow,have to charge the phone up and I'll see,maybe it'll solve the problem this time,the last repair was done on the older build number of 4..2.2 ,so maybe it'll work
