The developer options is actually hidden in the latest update. You can get this option if you go Settings > About phone > Tap 7 times on "Build number" and this option will appear in Settings.

Hi,

When you have around 10% battery left, you can go to Settings > Power management > Battery. Here you can see what consumes battery on your unit.

But since you started to experience this problem after an update, I suggest that you perform a software repair via Update Service:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
Download and install SUS, follow the instructions that appear.

Hi,

Thanks for updating and i will try software repair via Update Service as i am missing some functionalities as developer options ,do not know sony has restricted this feature this in this update release and there are some other functionalities that i cannot see to personalize my mobile settings.

I will try software repair via Update Service will let you know the results.

Hi,

I updated my xpreria L with update software and still i am facing battery drain problem, i am able to use my xperia L not more than 10hrs even i am playing games for not more than half an hour to 1hour and chatting on wats app and messenger for not more than 1hour .

I notice that screen and media is consuming more battery from 30 to 40% even i am using auto adjust brightness and limited dim display to 15s.

i am getting fedding up to use xperia L as i need to charge twice daily to njoy my xperia L.

I need suggestions to improve my battery life atleast can my xperia L stay for 1long day usage where as i am using xperia miro in which i did not notice any early battery drains even if i play and chat for long time.

Please help me how to get benifit of battery life in xperia L.

After the update,it is normal to drain a little more, the new OS needs some time to settle.I suggest you wait 1-2 weeks, restart phone regularly.Use your normal settings,it is ok if the screen drains most of the battery. If the OS would drain, you would get less time on the battery. Also, try to disable wifi, data, bluetooth when not using them.Do not use task killers, free ram apps, antivirus.

Also consider this,a smartphone is a smartphone, big screen, kind of not so big device,no space to host a big battery.1750mah is a medium size battery,so if you get 15 hours of intense using,it is very good.

Your phone will stabilise after some time, but if you still encounter issues, come back. And do not forget, restart regularly for a better performance.
