SVR-HDT1000

I purchased this just before Christmas and al seemd well. However on two occassions a preset recording appear to be interrupted and second recording is listed with the same name but (1) after it.

I also note that on playing the recording back it stops at exactly the same place and denies you access to the rest of the recoding although FF through the recoding shows you it is actaully there. Any help appreciated. Peter D

I too have a SVR-HDT1000 and experienced interrupted recordings and restarts. I carried out the firmware upgrade to V4.21 as described here: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/SVR-HDT500/downloads/svr_8585 and haven't had the problem since. However, I bought my unit in May 2011 and your recent recorder may already have latest software. The same link tells you how to check.
