Recording problem

I have a Sony digital recorder, RDR-HXD890. The discs on which I record will not play on other DVD players. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Any suggestions please?

Hi Oldliverpudlian and welcome.

What type of discs are you using? DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM?  The last 2 are not always supported by other players.

Have you Finalised the disc?  This is necessary when the recording is in VIDEO Mode to play the discs on another player.
