RDR-HXD860 Software Update

I am having problems with my RDR-HXD860 losing recording information.  A check of the internet tell me that I should have had an over-the-download to update the software from v1.01.10 CE to v.1.01.11 CE but I've not.  Is there any way I can update this as it is currently defeating the whole object of having a HDD recorder?

I am having the same problem. There does not seem to be any way to download this update which was broadcast last year.

Please SONY this must be easy to provide!

I looked at the link and checked the software version on the machine which is V1.01.10 CE.

How do I upgrade to V1.01.11 CE?

“Digital software upgrade” has been turned on for at least 2 years.

not 100% sure but did the link not mention a factory re set and re tune?, will that not trigger an automatic update.

Up to my knowledge, the firmware upgrade should be done by Sony service dealer using CD, Call them to get more info

Yes , you are right, but this was before, now for some reason it cannot done unless using CD by Sony S. Ctr. , I hear about that but not sure because i don't own that model

They should open Free-of-Charge service centers to satisfy their customers
