Hi Gamestar, as well as the SVR-HDT500 I also own a RDR-HXD970 which is an older HD- Recorder but one you can sort the channels on. When I bought the SVR-HDT500 I also expected to be able to sort them and I have to say that I am very disappointed that we cannot sort them especially when you see where the HD channels are. I hope someone can come up with an update/firmware to rectify what I think is a very big backward step by Sony on such a new and more modern HD. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
