RMT-B109P remote

I have a Sony Bravia KDL32W5500U tv but I don't seem to be able to control the TV with the remote that came with my S380 blue ray player (other than the on off button). Is it possible to do? Alternatively, is it possible to control the blue ray player with a RM-ED016 remote?

Hi,

You can control the S380 using the TV remote

To do this:

1- Connect both TV and S380 using HDMI cable

2- Press HOME, then select    > External Inputs > HDMI Set-up > Control for HDMI > On.

Done

Good luck

Hi,

strangely enough all i can control with my blu ray remote is device select, volume and on/off, the thing to remember that its not a universal or programmable remote so maybe limited for a perpose.

i'm having the same problem with an s480 using the same remote. it will operate the unit at a distance of less than 1 metre but as the remote is pulled away it loses control. yes the batteries are fresh the unit is new. i also have an s370 with b107p remote and this remote does the same with this unit. i think my bd player has a dodgy IR sensor.
