My Sony rdr-hdx510 recorder remote control  as locked on command dvd1 and it should be dvd3 I inadvertently set it, can you help, please.

Instruction for HXD870 should apply. Hold down ENTER and press 3 for DVD3 mode. You should keep the buttons pressed for at least 3 seconds.

I have the same problem- with a RMT-D217P - that I did by mistake changed to 1 instead of 3..and this doens help!! Nothing happens - its "dead". PLS any one?
