HT-AS5 Home Theatre System - slight delay to sound on BD playback

I have just invested in the HT-AS5 Home theatre system and connected to my Sony Blueray player BDP-S570 and Sony TV KDL-40EX723 with HDMI as the instructions advise and upon BD playback through the HT-AS5 system, the sound is slightly out of sync with the picture on the TV.  I also have BT vision connected with HDMI through the HTAS5 same as the Sony blueray but this plays picture/sound through the TV in perfect sync.  I have tried swapping HDMI cables and different ports but with no success.  Can anyone help me or have I just got a duff Home theatre system that I need to return to Sony??:smileysad:

Gaviscon,

Hi,

have a look in set up on the HTS, as the A/V sync appears variable which means you should be able to adjust it, i have checked the blu ray player as i have one myself and theres no adjustment there.

if you check the tech details on your HTS it says its variable not fixed.
