CONNECT PS3 TO BDVE370

Hi,

Has anyone successfully managed to connect their PS3 to their BDVE370 home cinema and achieve 5.1 surround sound? When I plug an optic cable into the BDV there is no sound at all and it doesn't seem to automatically select the input source from the PS3. It also doesn't seem to manually select optical as an input source.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello,

I`ve been experiencing the exact same problem.

I`m not even complaining of the fact that I`m not obtaining the 5.1 digital sound as DTS or True HD, but actually, there`s no sound at all when connecting the Ps3 to the BDV370.

FYI i`ve tried the Digital Optical connection only.

Hi depending how you had your PS3 connected before will determine the audio output, I would recommend a reset of the PS3 or adjust the output of the audio on the PS3, to reset just hold down the power button until it bleeps twice then release it will go through picture and audio settings, ensure to choose the correct audio connection and it will do the rest.    As there is no control via optical you will have to select that input on the amp, it is only HDMI that will auto select an active input.  Hope this helps
