BDV-E280 will not power on shortly after firmware upgrade

Hi I upgraded the firmware on my BDV-E280 yesterday,  it worked for approx 24hr, I could listen to radio this morning but now it will not switch on, I checked the fuse, unplugged and left off, anyone else seeing this. Can this box be hard reset, without power on!

Hey. I've got the same issue, and also after the latest update (it was fine before).

I find that a temporary solution is to unplug the power cable AND leave it unpluged for at least 30min to 1h.

This gives it enough time to discharge the capacitors inside the system, and it basically restarts it.

So after the 30min to 1h unplugged, then plug it in and it should start normally.

This is of course just a temporary solution, and Sony need to get this fixed on the next firmware update (it was fine in the previous firmware damit).
