BDP-S350, iplayer missing after network update

I've just switched on my BDP-S350 and it informed me there was a network update, which I did. Now I no longer have iplayer, sky news, qriocity plus a few others have gone missing and seem to have been replaced with some misc other choices

Anyone else had this or know if the options will be returned?

I have the BDP-S570 and I lost BBC iPlayer overnight, after 6 months of trouble free operation. I've followed all of the advice on here about resetting to factory and personal settings then refreshing the internet content, but still no iPlayer.

Did your iPlayer return?

Hi.  I've just registered on this forum to reply to this thread.  I switched on my 570 last night to watch Holby City on iplayer, only to discovered that after an Internet Content update, the BBC iplayer has gone walkies.

Other than the Reset option in settings, there is no clear way to make the 570 force another Internet Content update.  Is it possible?  I'd rather not Reset all the updates I've downloaded over the past 6 months if possible.

I'm surprised only 2 people are having this issue with iplayer.  Can anyone with a 570 confirm that they still have iplayer on their list of Internet Content and that it still works?  I'd be interested to know if this problem is local to just a few people or whether everyone has been affected.

Has Sony commented about there being an iplayer issue?

I've rung the UK support tel number and been told there have been a number of complaints about the loss of BBC iPlayer on the Sony products. They gave me a reference number and was told to wait 48 hrs as they thought it was a problem with BBC not Sony.

You might like to do the same.

Can't check directly with the BBC as I'm out of the country at the moment but indeed flag it with them directly and chances are it will likely pop back up shortly..

@klipp123 don't worry, resetting the machine won't delete the updates as these are firmware updates which can't be rolled back

Yes i have an s570 with the exactly the same problem the BBC iplayer has gone very strange

My bbc iplayer has also gone would you please let me have the phone number that you have used so i also can log the complaint / loss etc

got the BDP-S570, same problem. iPlayer's gone form the menue, nowhere to be found.
