BDP-S350, iplayer missing after network update

I've just switched on my BDP-S350 and it informed me there was a network update, which I did. Now I no longer have iplayer, sky news, qriocity plus a few others have gone missing and seem to have been replaced with some misc other choices

Anyone else had this or know if the options will be returned?

Me too. S570. Menu came up showing iPlayer, selected it, got message saying network access not available (it was connected), then the iPlayer option disappeared from the menu completely. Reset netwqork and connected OK, did network update, still no iPlayer. Hard to believe it is a BBC problem as it works fine on my PC and my Samsung TV.

There i was bigging up the blu ray player and saying how good the HD function was on the player then after the network update, iplayer has, like all of you, gone.

Annoying. Has anyone made any headway with sorting it out or findinging out how to correct it?

No change yet, the Sony support guy said to give it 48 hours as they thought the problem was at the BBC end.

Have a look at this old thread as there seem to be other reasons why it won't work.

Blimey, I don't like the look of that other thread.

Still no return of service yet (24 hours on).  Guess I'll give it another day and then start making enquiries on the phone on Friday.  It all seems rather strange......

Just updated the connection password to our router and afterwards bbc iplayer icon has disappeared. Wanted to watch the tennis so bit of a disaster, only partially reassured to know others with same problem. Any news on what the fault is or when it will be fixed?

Yes, same thing happened to me.

I switched on earlier to catch up with The Apprentice, selected iPlayer, received message saying that the content was ready, then it disappeared.

I guess, as it's happened to a lot of us, it's a service delivery problem, so should get sorted out soon.

Right, off to watch The Apprentice on my Vaio ... hopefully, iPlayer won't have disappeared from the internet too

We have S570 - BBC iPlayer went missing after we connected to the internet last night. We reset everything and forced another network update. We got a message that said we were already up to date and nothing else. Still no iPlayer. Have submitted a complaint to Sony. BBC iPlayer forum is closed at the moment so cannot see if anything has been reported to the BBC.

I am looking at other forums to see if other access types are reporting the same problem. Have not found anything so far. iPlayer is working on the both wireless and ethernet connected PCs so it is not my hub or my network.

It would seem to be a problem between Sony and BBC so far. Some information from the companies involved would be nice. Not a happy punter at the moment.
