Just over a week ago the firmware on my TV was updated to the latest version - 6.7140 (The Android Pie update).
Last week my TV rebooted for no reason, saw it as a one-off and ignored.
It has now rebooted three times over the last two days for no reason - once whilst using a PS5, and just a moment ago, whilst watching something via a Sky Q box.
Screen blank, animated Sony logo - a complete reboot.
Not seeing anyone else reporting this issue with the XF line - but am seeing XE and XH lines with similar issues.
Just got to wait for a new software update?
This is a known problem following a software update. Sony should issue another update to fix it but in the meantime, change these settings:-
Network+Internet> Home network setup> IP control> Set "Simple IP" to ON
Restart the TV then back into settings:-
Watching TV> External Inputs> Advanced settings> Set RS232C control to OFF.
I'm trying this on my X900E, as it reboots whenever I turn it on after the last update.
On my TV the RS232C Control is under Remotes & Accessories and it was already off.
EDIT: 2 days and no reboot after changing the Simple IP setting.
EDIT2: still no reboots a near 2 months later
Turning on Simple IP worked for me too, Thanks.
