Sony Bravia 65XE7002 power supply

Hi, I just bought this TV and it's missing the power supply. Struggling to find out exactly what parts I need to order grr. Also the TV has been marked by someone with a cross inside a box in the second photo. What is in that area because that looks like someone's marked a fault to me. I appreciate any help. I'm from the UK.

If you didn’t know it was in this state, don’t be so British, and send the bugger back 😛

Haha is it that bad? No point trying to fix it then? I can't send it back and it cost me £20. Thanks for the reply.

Hi @Jamie65xe7002

This one is a good bet, you can always send it back for a refund. It probably costs more than the TV.

I don't think that power supply in the Amazon link is the right one for this TV.

No, I don’t think the brick for the 49er would have enough welly for the 65.

And judging by this, the 65 has an onboard power supply, and comes with a mains cable:-

  • What's In The Box

    • Table Top Stand
    • Remote Control
    • Batteries
    • AC Power Cord
    • Operating Instructions
    • Quick Setup Guide

which, as it wouldn’t have been a captive cable or it wouldn’t have been listed separately, must have plugged into a socket on the set. And that seems to be the bit that has gone….

If you are determined to try and rescue it, though, this might be a useful lead:-

    https://www.tvparts.co.uk/index.php?route=product/tvsearch&search=SONY-kd-65xe7002&page=1

This and other suppliers came up on a Google search for ‘65XE7002 parts explosion’ which takes you out of the realm of just descriptions of the intact TV

Can’t both be right, surely?

Opened the back of the TV up to look at the area the x was marked but no idea if something is missing.
