Xperia Z3 Close Range Focus

Since recently (I think the most recent firmware update) my Xperia Z3 will no longer focus at close range.

Anything closer than about 1 metre can no longer be photographed. When pressing on the screen (or holding the camera button down half way) it doesn't seem to focus at all.

This is only a recent problem and it seems software related as everything else is working fine.

I have read that it may be related to a change in the Android api in the most recent update.

Sony, please explain and advise? Thank you.

Check if the lens has scratches or if it's dirty, also check if there's anything near the lens.

What's your firmware version? You can find it in Settings -> About phone.

Thanks! There was a spec of dust under the back glass cover (was cracked and replaced). Once wiped it fixed it. I thought any dust would have had a much larger impact on the camera. Thanks for your help.
