Video player not working propoerly

After 5.1 update my z1 has problem with video player. It does not play video and device displays an error as "cannot play video". I tried clearing cache and installed latest update. But still have same problem. Please help..

Does it work with other video players? was this video recorded with your phone or downloaded?

Even other video pkayers does not work well..like stuking while forwarding the video and finally crashing the application.
