How to open the phone without knowing the Lock Screen Pattern???

H E L P!!!

I screwed up my Z5 totally last night. By some reason I happened to activate the “Lock Screen Pattern” yesterday. But still I could open the phone with my fingerprint or pin code.

I thought that I inactivated the “Lock Screen Pattern”, but it kept coming up every time I opened the phone. Since I thought I had inactivated it I thought it would disappear after restarting the phone. BIG MISTAKE!

Now the ONLY way to open the phone is with the pattern, which I of course have already forgotten. And it’s surely no help that the alarm go off every time I try the wrong pattern.

To make matters worse I can’t change the pin through MyXperia. It has something to do that any six digit code doesn’t fulfil my safety policy for Exchange ActiveSync.

Hope that someone here will be able to help me…

/Eva

Hi @Clian64

Welcome to the community Slightly_smiling_Face

I'm sorry to hear about this Slightly_frowning_Face

Unfortunately the only option from here would be to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will remove the screen lock but please note it will also wipe the internal memory of your phone.

It appears that Sony has amateurs in programming. They make more safety features to restrain access but are not able to help their customers to gain access in case they forgot one of the safety features. I would believe the fingerprint should have been the first to unlock, because you never need to remember it!
