Can't pull down notification bar after Software Update, Sony Xperia Z3

After the a Software Update today, I can no longer pull down the notification bar. I can pull down the notification bar in the lock screen or if I use the phone horizontally. This must be related to the software update, it worked fine before, any solutions?

I just did a software repair with Xperia Companion and the issue persists.

After doing some tests it's like a few lines in the top, where the notification bar is loated, don't work.

Hi @Diego_s, sorry to hear about this.

As there is no change after you have performed the software repair, I recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team so they can arrange a repair for you as the device will need to examined at an authorized service centre.

If you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and so forth, they will gladly assist you with this as well.

This issue happened yesterday after a small update changed how google now works. For example, now if I long press the home button, it takes me to the assistant instead of taking me to the news feed as before. 

The rest of the phone is working perfectly well, the screen and the phone are well protected and haven't received any damage, there are like 100 lines of pixels at the top of the phone where the touchscreen is just not working but the screen itself is fine. It looks like a sofware problem to me. I'm out of warranty, Do you know anything I could do?

Since you have already performed the software repair, it should not be related to the software as it has been reinstalled.

Could you try doing the touch screen test in the service menu of the device and report back with your findings? You can find this test if you open up the Phone application and type in *#*#7378423#*#* > Service tests > Touch > Free drawing test.

Hi,

Now 4 month late, I have exactly the same issue with an xperia Z3 I tried the settings things and I can't draw in the top parts of the screen, I can't access notifications from 2 days, I may run some update but can't confirm. Anyway now I rotate my phone to access the notifications, not really convinent but no choice so far.
