Received OTA Update on my Xperia XZ DS F8332 today (12th June, 2017).

Updated Build version 41.2.A.7.8

Security Patch - 1st June

What did they fix ?
It has slowed my phone even more

I'm still on Marshmallow and decided to give 7.0 a miss due to the bluetooth problems. I felt sure that I would upgrade when 7.1 dropped but I'm gobsmacked to see that Nougat is still atrocious on the XZ. It doesn't look like I'll ever be upgrading my XZ and will probably only get to experience a newer version of Android when I buy a new phone in the next 6-12 months.

Hmm, can't get this one to install on my XZ. Tried both over WiFi on the phone and via Xperia Companion on the PC. When looking at the phone it's always the same result, it fails during the verification phase and the phone restarts. 😕 (Xperia Companion gives an error of kResultCode_DeltaUpdateResultDidReturnFail)

Anyone know of a remedy for this? It seems like the install gets as far as prepping the system files and can't get beyond that. Looks like I need a way to clean out that initial step that has already occured. Does anyone know where these are staged on the phone so maybe I can delete them?

I'd like to avoid Software Repair if I can because I think it'll want to reset things and that'll be a pain.

As I to was disappointed with my games 

Ie. Real racing 3 and the room 3 seemed very poor frame rate as this was very smooth before 

So not sure if you got this issue but I'm guessing you have..any way found what's causing it, It's not the . 7. 8 Update atoll, its a Avg. Apps usage data...  they all need to be turned off

To do this. Open AVG/performance/taskkiller

Then click app usage data then  Off

My games are now. Very smooth frame rate much better than previous update

yep, still doesn't work for me. If it was an update server problem, you think they'd have it solved by now.
