Xperia XZ Premium keeps crashing

I bought my phone only a week ago and it keeps crashing. Do I have to take it back or is it a software issue?

You can first see if the same thing happens in safe mode. If it does, then run a software repair using Xperia Companion.

If it does not, then a third party app that is installed on your phone will be the issue. You will need to identify the app then either update it, or remove it.
