I've just bought a Xperia XZ and I didn't notice any problems or lacks with the fingerprint sensor until recently, after the latest update to android 7.0 and afew more update I've noticed that when my hand warming and sweating, I can't unlock my phone with my fingerprint. It like the sensor have no deep finger scan at all
Hello @Julianwaynsen
It's been like that since day 1 of release, not just after the recent update. You need to make sure that the sensor is clean and with no moisture, and a sweaty finger means that you apply the moisture on the sensor, which will make it dodgy to read the fingerprint.

Thanks for your advise. But my body core tempurature is high and I'm heat intolerance. So basicly if I leave the house, the finger print sensor is unusable. I did hit the sensor the the table several times thought and It scratch a little. hopefully it still work
I wonder if others phone manufactures with finger print sensor have this issue as well
Hi Julianwaynsen,
When you are outside (when Frienprint is not working ), you can add or registered one more fingerprint by using Settings > Lock screen & security > Fingerprint Manager.
Like when driving I use my left hand(Fingerprint 1) to check/unlock. And in office, i use my Right hand (Fingerprint 2).
So you can add as many as you want for different situations.

Sant
Dear Sant,
Usually when I'm heating up, all my finger are sweating both left and right. It seem like your advise is all we can do. I'm a little disappointed thought. Thanks anyway
Julian
If you have perennial sweat hands and fingers (hyperhidrosis) then you will really have problems with fingerprint log in.. So never blame the. Xz phone as your case is an rarity if not abnormality Just use the PIN to log in. Simple as that.
