Xperia xz Call waiting not working

Hi, my call waiting is activated from settings, call settings, additional settings.

Bit when i am on a call, if anyone tries to call me they just get the engaged tone.

There is no way of me knowing someone else is trying to get through to me.

Is this a fault with phone, which is a week old.

Hi @Gary7, welcome to the community.

You will need to have a call waiting service active with your network provider too. Have you checked with them to make sure it is enabled on your phone account?

Thanks for the reply Cameron, i did ring o2 to see if i needed any network settings and they said call waiting had nothing to do with them.

I will ring them again.

That's strange they would say that, it's a network specific service. Your phone can only receive calls if they are sent by your network, which includes incoming calls while you are on another.

If they say it is all active on their end, then please try your phone in safe mode and see if it's the same issue.
