That's why I do not use it as it does not have any sense, even to use it as torch.

I agree, LED flash is pretty weak. Xperia T is the only Sony phone I know to have good flash.

There were some mods for Z3 i.e. that increased LED power, it required root though.

Note that the flash itself is strong, when taking a picture the light is bright, but only for this split second... Sony intentionally reduced power of torch, but I don't know the reason, probably "because".

My Honor 5X shine in picture flash mode 2x more, before normal mode. In normal mode shine still 5x more, against flagship Sony XZ Premium. XZP is in boost mode 3x stronger, than normal, but still have in this mode 3x weaker, than XZP.
Sony have clearly poor LED diode..  

Are they afraid of overheating?

It seems like Sony has lowered the volume of the speakers...I know because I have a sound boost app that will make them much louder....they also use only the bottom speaker for speakerphone which is stupid....they have a dimmer LED, which we know can go much brighter, and their vibration is not strong enough at all which I know it also can be stronger. Will Sony ever fix these things or let us make them adjustable? 

I can't help but feel that listing anything on this site is a waste of our time because the ones who need to see these concerns do not read them or care. So sad.
