4k hdr phone. Is it overkill?

This is going to be an expensive phone, I'm guessing around $850

The overheat question is a very good question.

The XZ hast the alkaleido metal back to get the heat away. But if you are a hardcore user (lot of gaming) it still overheats and throttles (result in stutters in games/UI).

The XZ premium has a plastic back, metal frames and inside the processor has a heatspreader. We will see if it still overheats...

as far as i know the back is in glass not in plastic so the heat could spread out maybe better....

Yes, you are right, it's Gorilla glass 5 i think. Was a bad expression from me 😄

I hope that it could spread out the heat better

But I think we have to wait for the first tests.

First time when i read you post i didn't believed it, XZ Premium is high class model and havn't radio - really shame, but if say true from 2016 March when i bough Xperia C5 Ultra Dual i had never don't listen radio on smartphone, that's really is strange, coz music for me is very important in my life, i think was only few days that i did not listen any track or mix When is Spotify, Deezer, Soundcloud or Youtube with many others i think radio in mobile is not so big lost So i agree with you a little, it's little shame that Sony forgot to add radion, but as i siad radio in smartphone is not so important to me and i don't think that this is big problem - anyway i adding own music, even own mixes in SD card, i think a lot of people doing the same

If you do not have the built-in FM radio and ip68 on new phones, throw it away! Continue to use series Z5 ..

XZ Premium and XZs are both water and dust resistant and I don't care at all about FM radio. I don't listen to the radio in my car either. But if you want to stick with your Z5 go ahead

Everyone is not living in the car. People go to trip, fishing, camping and travels by public transport sometimes etc..

It's a shame if you bought a samsung..

All samsung products are horrible..wanky.. rotten... etc.
