4k hdr phone. Is it overkill?

This is going to be an expensive phone, I'm guessing around $850

Xz premium battery life will be longer, ufs uses less power too.

It shoots 720p and 960fps which is insane but for 1080p I think it's just 60fps

Good upgrade from z5, but disappointed 😞 with the battery through, I saw what's it's got its good apart from the battery.

But you're forgetting that the smaller nm process will result in less power consumption, the battery life will be fine

....and why Sony choose Quick Charges 3.0?
Overall it's OK for me even the big bezel is good for gaming, watch video n record video while in hand..

BUT the battery capacity is disappointed n many people think or guest it's come with 3700mAh ~ 4000mAh coz its has 4K HDR.

Will Sony change the battery capacity before launch this device in May?

Honestly, look at 10nm power difference vs our current 14nm.
Gpu and cpu at 10nm deliver 25-30% more speed on 35-40% less power draw.
There is no need for a bigger battery, the one quoted will give longer life even at 4k hdr (10nm gpu is only drain regardless of screen)

They just compared z5 vs the xz. It's so close, but the xz is clearly the winner.

I have just looked the samples taken from XZs which uses same camera with XZ premium. They are disappointing not too much different from XZ or Z5, when you ZOOM in you can easily see the dirtiness and grain, very sad Sony. I have been waiting much more from this new sensor.

Look at the examples, better than the iPhone 7 but not as good as S7.
