Sony XZ Premium One handed feature ?

Guys I bought the xz premium couple of days after it was announced and so far it's been an amazing phone. I noticed that the Ultra series have something called One handed operations.. which allows you to reduce the size of the display so that a person with relatively small hands can use the screen using only one hand. Can't seem to find this feature on this model. Any suggestions? Or alternatives?

Hi @Deadlys, welcome to the forum!

When you say one-hand operation I think about the possibility to shrink the keyboard, to move it either to the right or to the left. That's an option for both GBoard and Swiftkey, I believe. I guess I have big hands, because I never understood the point of it. Thinking_Face

I must admit that I hadn't heard of any other one-hand feature before. Unfortunately I don't think it is available in your device. You think this should be a feature available in Android itself, rather than only on some devices, right? Do you have a specific use-case in mind or would use it for most of the day?

From a google search I found a downloadable module, but it only works for rooted devices so I guess it isn't relevant. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hamzah.onehandmode

Samsung has this feature since the Note series, Apple since the iPhone 6. I almost never use it, but it would be nice if Google could implement it in a future android version

Firstly, big thanks for this detailed reply. I did some research myself and I found exactly the same thing but as the other 2 guys have shared. Samsung and iPhone had it set as an integrated feature and my hands aren't that big so I was hoping that could help. Either way I'm slowly getting used to the new xz premium and the phone is great. I'm happy that I chose it instead of the Samsung S8.. being a samsung fanboy and all. It was an okay 👌 decision!
