screen keyboard and sensivity

Hello everyone,

I have a doubt about the keyboard. When I am typing the sensitivity seems to be worse than the one that my previous Z2 had. it takes a stronger tap to press a letter and sometimes, it jumps back and deletes the word I had just written without being close to the delete key.

I don't understand why the keyboard has to be the swiftkey one? Can't we have the original Xperia keyboard (like the one in the Z2) back? or maybe having an option to increase the sensitivity? This whole problem, the sensitivity, the automatic removal of words and the uncomfortableness of the keyboard, is affecting the way I write and how fast I go...

Or is there anything I am not doing well? I'm not sure whether the mistake is mine or from the phone (I bought the phone two weeks ago so I haven're really had time to do anything wrong with it)...has anyone else felt this too or not?? XZ screen is supposed to be an improvement from my Z2, not a step backwards...

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

does this happen to 3rd party keyboards?

try to run xperia diagnostics to see if the screen is responding well. settings>about phone>diagnostics

try to type while you are on safe mode . long press on the power off option

Hello!

Thanks for the reply!

I have used the screen diagnosis (the one about the weird color pixels and the other one and both went well, no problem there).

No, I have tried the Kika keyboard and it works much better than the swiftkey one that comes with the phone...

I also read a thread about other people complaining about the swiftkey keyboard (and they said the same as I did) but they could download the Xperia classical keyboard. In my case, I can't do that with the Android version I have (incompatibility) although I went to check.

I really hope the classical keyboard comes back...or I'll have to wait until that downloadable keyboard is compatible with my version (Nougat 7.0 - 39.2.A.0.417).

By the way, can the screen protector affect the sensitivity of the screen? And do I need to buy a special screen protector for this XZ? Because I've heard that some screenprotectors don't cover the whole screen.

Thanks!

If there is any other helpful option, I'm more than willing to hear it!
