Multiple issues - no sound, no outgoing calls, restarting

Hi, I searched for similar topics but nothing quite covered the issues I've experienced the past few days. I've summed them up below. 

I got my Xperia new in January this year, and am on Android version 7.1.1

- Several days ago, I first noticed that sound from speaker was crackly but fine in earphones

- Then speaker sound (songs, videos) would stop working sporadically but still work in earphones

- I then noticed that the top speaker had stopped working and would only crackle

- within a day or two speaker sound stopped working altogether, including earphones

- when playing a song and trying to adjust the volume it would go straight to ringtone volume instead of media volume

- received text message, no sound

- received a playback error in the YouTube app regardless of the video chosen (tried 4 different vids) 

- got 'audio settings has stopped' error twice on restart

Attempted fixes

- restarted phone several times

- tried to make an outgoing call but screen would freeze with a blank coloured icon on the top half of the screen and hangup icon (no other options). There was no sound in the earpiece and then phone would restart itself. This process would take around 3 minutes

- tried restarting phone in safe mode twice, I got the exact same behaviour as already noted

- incoming calls cannot be answered. The caller said it rang out then went to voicemail (of which I also can't check)

Help?

repair the phone with XC and report back

A day or two after I posted, the phone stopped charging (despite the charge icon displaying) and I just barely managed a full backup before it turned itself off for good (literally minutes later). I took it to my phone provider, they sent it to Sony for repair and three days later I had a brand new handset. 

So yeah. I'm guessing the diagnosis was "f$#@!d".

I'm having the exact same problem.

Whenever i turn on my device a "Audio settings has stopped"  message pops. After that, any app that requires audio won't work (Whatsapp audio messages won't play or be recorded, Youtube or Album videos won't play correctly or at all, phone calls freezes), even with headset plugged in. 

Whatsmore, don't know if it is related or not but it started happening at the same time that the audio issue, battery depletes insanely fast. From 100% to 0% in around 6hs, when it used to last 24hs. 

I tried a factory data reset but nothing changed. My phone (Xperia XZ) has less than a month of use.

What can i do?
